We left at 6.30 and we are freezing my feet are like blocks of ice and I have 4 layers on! We have just passed through Astorga heading for Rabanal del Camino on the LE142.

We arrived in Ponferrada at about 13:30 installed in the grounds of a lovely hostel. We are the first horse & carriage they have had. The showers are luxury. If we can we will head for Trabadero tomorrow.

We had a so, so day intended to go as far as Trabadelo from Ponferrada but sadly horses were not welcome. We went onto Vega de Valcarce and again had to move on so we are camped in a field next to the river about 1 kilometre outside V de Valcarce, a lovely spot with plenty of lush grass for Pebbles.

In Cebreiro after 4 hour tough climb. We have found a beautiful spot with a wonderful view looking out over the mountains and valleys beyond and you will not believe this but there are wild crocuses everywhere!

We have come down from Cebreiro very steep 7% for about 10 kilometres. We arrived in Triacastelli at about 1300hrs short day but the sun starts to get very hot after 2pm. We are camped in the grounds of the municipal hostel, which is a very pleasant location with a stream at the bottom of the field.

It is unbearably hot. No room at the inn as usual. So we are camped in a field just outside Gonzar. The sun is blistering. I am hugging the only shade next to the carriage the heat is shimmering off the stubble! We will not be going any further!
